DISH Blows it Tonight No Braves HD!

This is a first!!! Hope it's not a sign to come!! I'll be looking at D
if so.

Braves game is avaliable in HD on FSN South, but not on DISH!
It's avaliable on Comcast here in Atlanta tonight but Dish screws up
and does not make it available in HD on channel 420 HD as normal.
Just wonderful!

CSR was of course clueless even after 5 minutes on hold she came back
with their best BS story and said FSN is not offering it to DISH in HD
tonight or tomorrow. Well I call an absolutley positively
BS on that since it's on Comcast and all over south on cox and comcast
tonight.

She said they will not offer it again tomorrow night due to FSN as
well, uh.....tomorrow it's on WPCH and dish does not even
carry WPCH in HD. Which of course is another real lousy Dish move not
to carry a local channel in HD in the what 8th largest DMA in the
country or at least offer as an HD alt feed channel durring HD Braves
games on WPCH, it has what 70 Braves games with something like 40 in
HD.

They also have a College Baseball game blacked out on SportSouth 437
same thing for a Friday night college BB game. Can someone explain
that, I've never seem anything that was not pro sports blacked out
on our regional sports channels.

I forgot to mention it is currently viewable on SportSouth with
Comcast here in Atlanta.

What's going on at Dish?????????????????

You should be thankful..
Dish (TBS) doesn't even carry Braves Baseball anymore..

I'm lucky to get the scores on ch 241 Atlanta distant network prior to
Leno at 8:30 pm.

You mean you don't watch Monica on WSB to see what color her hair is
today?

That's a shame about TBS, I feel for ya and all the other Braves fans,
I've been a Braves fan since this year the Crackers next year the
Braves in '65. I know I'd have to go with D or cable and sub to Extra
Innings for sure if I didn't live here in Ga.

Skip and Joe I think it was were talking about loss of TBS for fans
during game on Peachtree TV the other night. They were talking about
the huge #'s of people they have heard from and how so many people
come up to them at games saying they are very disapoinited they can't
get Braves games anymore on TBS.

Yea lets make TBS a cable network instead of Superstation so we can
show crapy 90's sitcoms and the same old movies over and over so we
can charge more for national advertising that a cable net would bring.
Does anyone watch any of that crap? I've yet to watch anything on TBS,
not even a Sunday baseball game since it's always on against a Braves
game.

It's commonly agreed that Ted Turner certainly is nut's and could be
the poster child for the saying "Liberalism is a mental disorder"
when it comes to anything outside what was his business savy with
his dad's billboards and then his TV business but an awful lot of foks
sure wish he had never sold out to TW. Nothing good seems to have
come from it that I can see. And it certainly seems to have affected
all the Braves fans outside the region the hardest.

Yeah, I was a little pissed about that myself. I thought maybe it was
an ESPN thing since they're always screwing things up.

No aparently it was 100% a Dish thing and it pissed me off that
I called Dish before game durring Braves liveand can't get a damn
thing done to fix it. It's one thing to make a mistake it's another to
come back with a BS story and fail to fix the problem. How hard could
it be to call up the proper departments and get it working asap!

I did enjoy game, Boog and Joe were really good tonight, I switched
over to ESPN for top of the ninth since it was after 10 and EPG
allowed that.

I'm pretty sure that ESPN would have no exclusive HD contract with MLB
like that inside a local market where the game is blacked out on ESPN,
and it's not like Dish shows the Braves on FSN South outside it's
regional territory. That and it was in HD on the local cable systems?
I did confirm that to be so with friends in the Atlanta and the Macon
areas last night.
