I'm in need for a remote code for a new Magnavox # MSD513E TV/DVD combo set.
I have the Platinum remote and have tried all 15 of the published codes in
the 510 DVR manual as well as doing a Device Code scan. Dish's website
lists the same codes as the manual and I have tried the DVD code listed as
well. Any suggestions?

I don't have that remote, so am only guessing...

You might try Philips codes. They're associated with Magnavox. The Device
Code scan probably already tried those, but you never know.

The only other possible trick I can think of is to use the Aux button and
enter a digit before entering the codes. The digit to use varies with
different remotes, I believe. At least try the "2nd TV" digit and also the
DVD digit.

If that still fails, I'd be inclined to think the remote won't work with
that particular equipment.

P.S. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

I has a 522 and have the same problem with a Magnavox LCD tv. Just
tried the Philips codes with no luck, but thanks for the suggestion.
